At Gardvy, we want you to enjoy your furniture and home décor products safely and for as long as possible. Please read the product-specific instructions, warnings, labels, and assembly instructions included with your order before using any product.

General Product Safety

• Read and follow all assembly and use instructions before using a product.

• Use each product only for its intended purpose.

• Do not exceed the product's stated weight or usage limits.

• Ensure furniture is placed on a stable, level surface.

• Keep children away from furniture during assembly.

• Keep small parts, hardware, packaging materials, and plastic bags away from children and pets.

• Do not use a product if it is damaged, unstable, missing essential hardware, or has a structural defect.

• Inspect furniture periodically for loose screws, bolts, connections, or other hardware and tighten them as appropriate.

• Do not modify, alter, drill, cut, or otherwise change a product unless the manufacturer's instructions specifically allow it.

Furniture Tip-Over Safety

Tall, narrow, or heavy furniture can present a tip-over hazard, particularly around children.

Where applicable:

• Use the included anti-tip hardware or wall-anchoring equipment.

• Follow the manufacturer's anchoring instructions carefully.

• Secure furniture to an appropriate wall structure using suitable hardware for your wall type.

• Do not allow children to climb, hang, or pull on furniture.

• Do not place heavy objects on top of furniture where they could make the product unstable.

• Keep frequently used or heavy items in lower storage areas whenever possible.

If anti-tip hardware is included with your product, we strongly recommend installing it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Assembly Safety

Some Gardvy products require assembly.

Before beginning:

1. Read all assembly instructions completely.

2. Confirm that all parts and hardware are present.

3. Assemble the product on a clean, stable surface.

4. Follow the instructions in the specified order.

5. Use the recommended tools.

6. Do not force components into place.

7. Check all connections before using the finished product.

If you discover missing or damaged parts during assembly, please contact us before using the product.

Care & Cleaning

Care instructions vary depending on the material and finish of each product. Always follow the product-specific care instructions provided with your item.

Wood and Wood-Look Surfaces

• Dust regularly with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth.

• Wipe spills promptly.

• Avoid excessive moisture and prolonged exposure to water.

• Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or rough cleaning materials unless specifically recommended.

• Protect surfaces from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight where possible.

Upholstered Furniture

• Vacuum or gently brush fabric regularly to remove dust and debris.

• Clean spills promptly using the method recommended for the specific fabric.

• Avoid saturating upholstery with water.

• Test any cleaning product on a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to a larger surface.

• Do not use harsh chemicals unless specifically approved for the material.

Glass

• Clean with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and an appropriate glass cleaner.

• Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.

• Do not place excessive weight on glass surfaces.

• Inspect glass periodically for cracks, chips, or other damage. Do not use damaged glass.

Metal

• Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.

• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

• Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish.

• Protect metal surfaces from prolonged exposure to moisture.

Decorative Items

For décor, accessories, and decorative objects:

• Handle carefully.

• Keep fragile items away from areas where they may be knocked over.

• Keep products away from excessive heat and moisture unless specifically designed for those conditions.

• Follow any product-specific warnings or care instructions.

Indoor & Outdoor Use

Unless a product is specifically described as suitable for outdoor use, assume that it is intended for indoor use only.

Outdoor products should be used and maintained according to their product-specific instructions. Exposure to weather, moisture, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight may affect materials and finishes.
